The Cornalin, which makes up the majority of the blend, is the guiding principle: it gives the blend a well-balanced base and an extraordinary fruity strength. Merlot brings its generous spice and red fruit flavours as well as its velvety, silky texture. The combination of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon brings freshness, subtle, structured tannins and an aromatic palette resolutely focused on notes of leather, liquorice and mocha. They are also essential assets for optimising the wine's ageing potential.



Vineyard yields of 400 to 600 g/m2, hand-picked, uncrushed and partially de-stemmed grapes, complete vinification in oak truncated-cone vats, cold pre-fermentation maceration for 5 to 7 days, alcoholic fermentation and vatting for 20 to 28 days, racking to barrel and malolactic fermentation in barrels.

Matured separately for each grape variety in specially adapted barrels. Aged for a total of 23 months in wood. Bottled without fining after light filtration.



Tsampéhro Rouge should keep for 10 to 15 years, or even longer in great vintages.
